Nehoiden Ryder Cup 125th Anniversary Celebration
**OPEN TO MEMBERS AND THEIR GUESTS**
Nehoiden’s founding can be traced to the dawn of golf in Massachusetts, in the 1890s. With the ambition to expand the athletics program at Wellesley, the Director of Physical Training, Lucile Eaton Hill, introduced golf to Wellesley College in 1893, with the formation of a golf club. 125 years later Nehoiden is still a thriving community of golfers and was recently named one of the "Finest Nines" in the country. Let's come together to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of Nehoiden Golf Club. To add to the fun, we will also celebrate the 2018 Ryder Cup in France. Register Today!
Join us as we celebrate 125 years of Nehoiden Golf Club! Saturday, September 29, 2:30pm Shotgun Start
- Event: comprised of two teams (Team Blue versus Team White) there will be a series of nine-hole net four-ball matches, with each foursome made up of two two-person teams. Nehoiden staff will determine matchups based on handicaps and pairing requests from Members for partners.
- Rules: In net four-ball, each partner plays his or her own ball throughout the round. On each hole, the lower net score of the two partners – or the “better ball” – will be the team’s score for the hole. There will be “dots” on the score card to show you where and how many handicap stroke(s) to deduct from your gross score to determine your net score for each hole. Whichever team has won the most holes by the end of the match earns one point for their team, with matches ending in a draw worth 1/2 point to each side.
- Winning: The team whose player has the lowest score wins the hole. If the low scores are tied, the hole is halved. The winning team will be the team that earns the most points throughout the event.
**Golf will be followed by a BBQ, catered by Blue Ribbon BBQ in Newton**

We specialize in events that offer a golf option for all, regardless of ability level. Choose the golf activity that works for you – or create an event where you offer more than one activity to maximize participation.

At Nehoiden we offer the following options:
The traditional approach in a manageable “afternoon” event. Most golf events take all day, and these days, many people can’t afford to be away from the office for a full day, no matter the enjoyment of golf or the benefits of business golf. We can tailor an event that allows you to work a half-day AND be home for dinner.
For those who have not yet mastered golf, or who have yet to pick up a club, no need to be left out! Be the first to invite your clients to play golf, even if they don’t yet play. Our Beginner Clinics combine an overview of Full Swing Fundamentals with the Basics of Putting and Chipping. We provide ALL equipment – you just need to show up.
For those who have mastered the game's findamentals but want to work on specific areas that let you down on the course, this is your chance to brush up on those trouble areas. Discover how to introduce helpful drills, mini games and challenges to add variety to your game. We can design a clinic to fit the needs and experience of your group.
The business benefits of golf are well-documented, as is the fact that women underleverage golf as a business tool. Who better than Wellesley College to expose women to this invaluable skill, in an environment that is both supportive AND fun. Our workshop combines on-range instruction on basic golf skills plus a “classroom” session on the “must knows” for business golf. Don’t be left behind by saying no when invited to a business outing! Anyone can use golf as a business tool, given a basic understanding of the game and some rudimentary skills.
Nehoiden lends itself perfectly to a morning or afternoon event, just right for busy executives. Let us tailor a golf event to your particular needs, we make it easy with a three-step process:
